History Cubs Win The World Series For The First Time In 108 Years

In a dramatic finish, the Chicago Cubs 8-7 defeated the Cleveland Indians in the World Series and made history: won for the first time in 108 years. It is a unique gift for a hobby that happened generations waiting for a new title.

The feat is much higher if you consider that the Cubs were losing 3-1 and managed to tie the series and force the seventh game, they won in Cleveland. Certainly a comeback never forget.

It is the third title of the Cubs in 11 appearances in the World Series.

It was the end of the two perennial losers MLB to end a title drought that lasts several decades both franchises.

What it has happened in the worlds since the Cubs were champions in 1908

Is a long time. There was not even the Titanic, women could not vote in the US, had not explored the South Pole, there were New Mexico and Arizona as states and missing 50 years for the man on the moon.

However since the beginning of this campaign, which ended with 103 victories, more than any other team, they have been the favorites to end the drought.

Meanwhile, the last time the Indians won a World Series was in 1948, 68 years ago. And they will have to keep waiting.
