South Africa: Zuma Escapes A Motion Of No Confidence In ANC Executives

In South Africa, a delicate new weekend ended for President Jacob Zuma. The fate of the head of state was again discussed in the executive committee of the ANC, which gathers 107 leaders of the party. Once again, the president of South Africa escaped a motion of no confidence supported by several cadres of the ruling party.

The case of Jacob Zuma was again addressed frontally at the meeting of the executive committee of the ANC (African National Congress), the highest body of the party. The opponents of the president again tried to push him towards the exit by presenting a motion of no confidence against him. The general secretary of the ruling party had promised that the issue was not on the agenda.

By the end of November, this question had ignited the meeting of the committee, which had even extended for a day. Once again, the president of South Africa escapes the vote of no confidence of his party. The ANC simply announced a press conference on Monday afternoon.

But the attacks multiplied against Jacob Zuma. Sunday, the South African Sunday press echoed a series of compromising emails which suggest, among other things, that President Zuma would have sought to prepare an exit plan to Dubai if he was forced to leave the country, South Africa. The authenticity of these documents is not proven and their source remains unknown. The spokesman for Jacob Zuma categorically denied these rumors and denounced information " extremely shocking " and totally false.
