United States: Wave Of Protests Against Donald Trump's Policy

Protesters gathered in Washington during a March for the Truth about Russian Interference during the election of Donald Trump on June 3, 2017.

Several thousand Americans demonstrated this Saturday, June 3 in a number of cities to demand that Donald Trump tells the whole truth about the Russian affair that has poisoned his presidency since he moved to the White House. The protesters also demonstrated against the decision to withdraw from the Paris agreement.

This demonstration had been called "the march for truth." It has brought together thousands of people in New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Seattle and many other cities. The demonstrators were protesting not only against the lack of transparency of Russian business but against other aspects of the policy of Donald Trump as the withdrawal of the Paris agreement.

In Washington, for example, the crowd could be heard shouting "  Resistance  " or brandish signs with the slogans "Destitute Trump" or using Emmanuel Macron's formula, "Making your planet great". In front of the White House, a small group of 200 supporters came to support the president.

These protests take place a few days before the important hearing of James Comey, the former director of the FBI , who should reveal to the Senate intelligence commission whether Trump asked him not to continue his investigation of Mike Flynn, The ephemeral director of the National Security Council, suspected of collusion with the Russians during the campaign.
