DRC: Many Shadows Seven Years After The Death Of Chebeya And Bazana

Seven (7) years ago in the DRC, Floribert Chebeya, founder of the human rights NGO Voice of the Voiceless, was found dead in his car and his driver Fidèle Bazana missing. Floribert Chebeya had gone the day before to a convocation by the Inspector-General of the National Police, General John Numbi.

Africa: Report Highlights Gravity Of Children's Situation


"Stolen Childhood" is the title of a report published on 30 May by the NGO Save the Children which states that at least 700 million children in the world are having their childhood interrupted too quickly. The criteria used are the severe under-five mortality and malnutrition rates, primary and secondary school drop-outs, working children, early marriages and childbirths and, of course, children displaced or killed as a result of a conflict. The remaining 20 places are reserved for countries where most children are flying childhood, according to the report. Places occupied only by African countries.

Afghanistan: Two Dead And One Missing In An NGO Attack In Kabul


An Afghan guard and a German employee were killed by armed men during a violent attack on Saturday, May 20, 2017, against the residence of employees of a Swedish NGO in Kabul. A Finnish worker is also missing. The Afghan security services have opened an investigation.
