A Technology Forum To Resolve Climate Change

In Burkina Faso, a Burkinabe researchers participate in the 11th edition of the National Forum of scientific research and technological innovations in Ouagadougou. This year, researchers, inventors or innovators propose to offer effective solutions to natural disasters related to climate change.

" It takes organic manure mixed with soil (a wheelbarrow and a half), a bucket of pebbles to filter and allow watering. We do not need to tap water for watering; using wastewater that have no detergents or oil, " he said.

To overcome hunger in rural areas, the technicians of the Institute of Environment and Agricultural Research developed several cowpea varieties including the famous komssare.

" If you want to eat green beans in winter, you sow the komssare. At 35 days, you reap the green komssare cowpea and you eat your green beans. If you want to eat peas, you expect the 55th day after sowing. And if you wait the 77th day, you find your local cowpea and you eat your cowpea  "said his side Zinsone Leopold, technical coordinator of the Association for the transfer of agricultural research technology.

In a context where the rains are becoming scarce, many Burkinabe researchers expose, in this forum, several solutions for adapting to the adverse effects of climate change.
