Former Barca President In Pre-trial Detention

Former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell, who was prosecuted in a money laundering case, was placed in pre-trial detention on Thursday, the Spanish court said.

The amount diverted through the network of companies would reach, according to the Spanish Justice 14,973,328 euros, of which 8,4 million for Ricardo Teixeira and 6,6 million for Sandro Rosell, to the prejudice of the CBF.
Ricardo Teixeira, chairman of the Brazilian Confederation of Football (CBF) from 1989 to his resignation in 2012 on a business of corruption, is already prosecuted by the American justice.
An Andorran who served as Rosell's nominee, Joan Besoli, was also placed in pre-trial detention by the Spanish courts.
