Manchester Bomb Attack: British Police Publish The Photo Of The Suicide Bomber

The British police broadcast pictures of the suicide bomber responsible for the Manchester bombing and issued a call for witnesses to trace the last days of the attacker. The level of terrorist alert was lowered from "critical" to "serious" following the progress of the investigation.

The impassive face, hands in his pockets, the suicide bomber goes totally unnoticed on the two photographs taken by a surveillance camera the night of the attack. The young man wears glasses, jeans, a dark cap and a backpack where it is now known that he concealed the bomb that killed 22 people on Monday, May 22.

The police have published these snapshots to gather information about the terrorist's actions since May 18, the date of his return to the United Kingdom after a stay in Libya where a part of his family lives.

Meanwhile, the German police reported that he had stopped in Düsseldorf at the time. British investigators know for now that Salman Abedi rented an apartment in the city center, from where he went to the Arena room.

This apartment is particularly interesting for investigators. They think this could be the place where the explosive device used for the attack was assembled. The police also traced the entire network that supported him: fourteen searches are still in progress and eleven men remain in custody.

Faced with this progress in the investigation, Prime Minister Theresa May announced that the level of terrorist alert had been lowered from "critical" to "serious", meaning that an attack remains "very likely" but more " Imminent ". The army will nevertheless remain deployed during this weekend of three days, and the authorities ask the British to be vigilant.
