Russian Interference: Pressure On The White House

The vise tightens around Donald Trump.

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law, and advisor to Donald Trump, is under investigation by the FBI in the case of Russian interference in the US presidential election. The former director of the federal police, sacked by the president, is due to testify before the Congress.

Did Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, seek to establish a secret channel of communication with the Russians, as the Washington Post suggests in his Friday edition? The daily, quoting US officials, said that Jared Kushner had proposed last December at a meeting with Russian ambassador Sergei Kisliak at the Trump Tower in New York to set up a secret channel of communication with the Kremlin, to discuss among others strategy in the Syrian conflict.

Pushed to resign after only three weeks in office, for his alleged links with Russia, the short-lived National Security Advisor of the White House Michael Flynn would also have attended these discussions.
Jared Kushner, a 36-year-old foreign affairs advisor, is the husband of Ivanka Trump. While on the radar screen of the FBI, the Washington Post as other US media point out that it is neither the main "  target  " of the sprawling tentacular federal survey and even less suspected of the slightest offense. According to NBC television, police "  think Kushner has important information  ".

The tightness is closing around the US president, when former federal police chief James Comey, sacked by Donald Trump, is due to testify before the Congress.
