Morocco: Silence Of The Government Despite The Growing Protest In The Rif


Morocco is living to the rhythm of the protest movement of the Rif where three days of the general strike have been decreed this Thursday, June 1st. Demonstrations of support were also organized in several large cities before being dispersed by the police. But the silence of the government and Prime Minister Saad Eddine el Othmani annoys the protesters.

Morocco: 25 People Arrested In Al Hoceima In The Rif And Transferred To Casablanca

In Morocco, 25 of the 40 people arrested in the city of Al Hoceima on Friday were transferred to the court in Casablanca and are officially arrested. All are accused of threatening the internal security of the country. Nasser Zefzafi, the unemployed who became the leader of the protest movement, listened to the young people.
