Burkina Faso: Mobilization Day In Ouagadougou To Denounce Impunity

In Burkina Faso, several civil society organizations organized a rally at the Ouagadougou people's home on Saturday (May 20th) to denounce the persistence of impunity for crimes of blood and economic crimes, the aggravation of costly living and the Lack of prospects for young people in terms of jobs.

Blood crimes, economic crimes, social and professional injustices, civil society organizations denounce the silence of justice on several issues.
" The people in revolt believed that it was Blaise Compaore the problem, but today we realize that in reality it is an individual who left but the system has remained, explains Elie Tarpaga, Secretary general of the committee of defense and deepening of the gains of the popular insurrection. It is the same system that is governing us and blocking all files. For this reason, we hold this meeting to call for the mobilization and the struggle of all the Burkinabe people so that there would be truth and justice on the files of crimes of blood and economic crimes ".
For Chrisogone Zougmore, President of the Burkina Faso Movement for Human and Peoples' Rights, after several years of arrest and denunciation of the crimes of blood and economic crimes in Burkina Faso, only the terminology has changed.
" Today, instead of" the file follows its course ", it is customary to hear:" the file advances ". What we are waiting for is that these files finally lead to something, to concrete judgments, he affirms. It is the entire Compaore system that should be judged, including those who are in power today. "
The organizers of these days of denunciation of impunity warn that the people will fight for justice and for a real political change in their favor.
