Indonesia: Bombing In A Bus Terminal In Jakarta

An alleged suicide bombing was committed on Wednesday (May 24th) in a bus terminal in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, killing at least one policeman. Five policemen were also injured in the busy Kampung Melayu terminal.

Egypt: The State Of Emergency After Two Deadly Attacks

The Egyptian president declared a state of emergency on Sunday after two bombings claimed by the Islamic State group (EI) that targeted Coptic churches and left 44 dead.

The measure announced by Mr. Sissi, in a solemn declaration on television, still has to be approved by Parliament.

Two Bomb Attacks Leave Dozens Dead And Wounded In Churches In Egypt


Two bomb attacks claimed by the Islamic State (EI) extremist group left at least 38 dead and dozens injured in two Coptic churches in Egypt in the bloodiest attacks in recent years on the country's Christian minority.
A suicide bomber launched the attack on a church in Alexandria (north) in which 11 people were killed and 35 wounded. The man, carrying a belt of explosives, detonated his cargo after police prevented him from entering St. Mark's Church, the interior ministry said.

Bombings On A Rebel Region Near Damascus, 19 Dead


At least 19 civilians, including six children, were killed on Tuesday in heavy aerial bombardments in several parts of the eastern Ghouta, a rebel area near Damascus, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) said.

This provisional assessment brings to 49 the number of civilians killed in two days of air strikes on the eastern Ghouta, an insurgent stronghold located to the east of the Syrian capital.
