Israel: Is The Agreement With The Palestinian Prisoners Empty Of Content?

Nearly 1,000 Palestinian detainees held in Israel ended their hunger strike on Friday (May 26th). After 40 days without feeding to denounce their conditions of detention, an agreement was reached with the Israeli penitentiary services. However, some details of the agreement were revealed by the Palestinians on Sunday. It seems to be actually empty of content.

They had been on hunger strike since 17 April. On Friday evening, 26 May, Palestinian prisoners imprisoned in Israel put an end to their movement, as an agreement was reached - although no details were provided on its contents.

Donald Trump is expected in Jerusalem this Monday, May 22. The US president begins his first visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories which will last 24 hours. He will visit the Holy Sepulcher and the Wailing Wall, the holy places of Christianity and Judaism. He will also meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Two Killed In Clashes In Palestinian Camp In Lebanon Between Militants And Security Force
